Your Path to HCOS

What to Expect After Applying

Step 1: Registrar Review

The Registrar’s Office will review your application to ensure it is complete, and you will receive an email outlining the next step in the application process.

A non-refundable $25 application fee is paid when you submit your application, and you will receive a confirmation email.

Step 2: Department Intake

Foundations K-9

You will receive an invitation to attend a virtual group session to learn more about HCOS. These sessions are run weekly.

Innovations 10-12

You will receive an email with a Calendly link to schedule a time to connect with the Registrar to learn more about HCOS.

Inclusive Education

K–9 applicants attend a virtual group session, and learn more about HCOS. Grades 10–12 applicants schedule an intake call with the Registrar or an Academic Advisor.

Step 3: Interview and Decision

A meeting or phone call will be set up with a Regional Administrator or an Academic Advisor for an interview to determine if HCOS is the right fit for your family.

This stage is dependent on the volume of applications and administrator availability; however, families can expect to have the opportunity to connect shortly after completing Steps 1 and 2.

Community Connections

Families with students applying to multiple departments will need to complete the process for each department separately, which may result in your students being accepted or waitlisted at different times.

If you hope to apply for a spot in Community Connections, your application must be approved before you can join the CC waitlist.

Application Process

You will be informed if your application is denied at any step of the process or if the department to which you have been applied is full.
